Fake vs. Real Crystal Rollers

How to tell the difference between real and fake crystal rollers
Crystal rollers are becoming increasingly popular due to growing awareness of the health and beauty benefits of facial rolling. Moreover, with the technology available nowadays, fake crystal rollers are selling for cheaper than the genuine ones.
Why you should not use a fake crystal roller
There are many cheap crystal rollers on the market made out of plastic, glass, dyed marble and other harmful materials. If you find them on the market sold for prices that seem too good to be true, it’s more than likely the material is plastic and will break easily. Fake crystal rollers also lack quality control which is problematic since facial rollers are naturally fragile and need extra care in checking for defects and making sure the packaging cushions the facial roller properly.
If you take the risk of using a fake crystal roller, it’s definitely bad for your skin. Because the material is made out of dyed marble, the chemicals in it will harm your skin and make it become sensitive, irritated, and other possible side effects after using it for a certain period of time.
How to tell your Rose Quartz or Jade Roller is real?
An example of a crystal roller that is not made of authentic crystal - it can be seen that the stone clearly doesn't possess the natural looks of real quartz. We got this for 20 bucks from a market place and this is what the roller looked like. Yikes!
1. There should not be bubbles
If you examine your crystal roller up close and notice small air bubbles, it is most probably that your crystal roller is made of glass, not authentic quartz.
2. Natural irregularities
Crystal rollers that are transparently smooth and without any streaks or has even color distribution (solid colour) are not genuine quartz even if they look aesthetically pleasing. Use a magnifying glass and closely inspect your crystal roller. If there are embedded white streaks shown, it is authentically quartz.
3. Cool to the touch
Genuine rose quartz and jade has a lower surface temperature than glass or plastic. If you notice your crystal roller constantly feeling warm or at room temperature, or if after popping your roller into the fridge, it immediately warms up after use, it may be a dud. Real crystal rollers should stay cool for longer after being in the fridge, giving you ample time to massage your face effectively.
